Cranberry Almond Scones
Dried cranberries aka... Craisins are amazing and loaded with vitamin C and anti-oxidants for a healthy immune system.
So why not pair them up with some almonds a great source of protein and food for the brain.
This breakfast snack is easy to make, tasty and good for you!
Cranberry Almond Scones Instructions
Cranberry Scones Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425° F.
Combine the dry ingredients. Using a stand mixer with paddle attachment slowly add the butter cubes slowly
until the mixtures looks crumbly.
Cranberry Scones Step 2: Add the buttermilk and the cranberries and stir together to form a ball of dough. Divide the dough into 2 pieces and roll in a ball. On a flour dusted surface roll the dough into ½” thick circles. Cut the dough into 6 pie pieces. Place onto a parchment lined sheet pan 1” apart. In a small bowl, mix together the cream and sugar. Brush the top of each scone to glaze and then sprinkle the almonds on top. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
